October Favourites!

There have been so many things that I have been using this month that I have absolutely falling in love with and I just thought I would share that with you guys!

The first thing is this sugar scrub. I absolutely love this, especially because my skin can get really dry. This scrub leaves your skin soft, smooth and smelling amazing. This particular one is from Fiji so I don't know if it is available anywhere else but you can find good sugar scrubs at stores like The Body Shop. Also, I have been researching how to make these yourself so I will try and put a tutorial for that up.

If you guys have read my other posts you would know that I am absolutely loving Formula 10.06's face scrub and moisturiser so I picked these up the other day just to try them out. They only cost me around $1 each but they do have bigger bottles. Guys, they are absolutely amazing. I have used so many face masks and most of them seem to either do nothing or really dry my skin out. These leave your skin really smooth without making it dry and removes all the junk from your face.

I have been using this for a while but I think it's important to mention simply because it can be used for so many different things. It can be used for dry skin, chapped lips, burns, scars, the list goes on. I generally use this at night before I go to bed on my lips and I wake up with moisturised and pretty lips.

The last of my favourites for this month is this heat protectant. I straighten my hair so much and this makes my hair sooo smooth without having to run over my hair too much. I got this one from Aldi and it only cost me around $6.

Well I hope you guys liked this post. I'm sorry, I realise that it's November but I didn't get a chance to upload it.

Product Review: Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves

Recently I bought this mascara and I payed around $20 for it. Personally, I absolutely love the Maybelline Volume Express but I thought I would give this one a shot. So here's what I think.
The first time I used it I thought the brush was very conveniently shaped. It's curved so that it goes with your eye shape and you can turn it so it works for both eyes. I really liked this, it makes it so much easier to apply and gives you a more even spread.
Once you apply it, it doesn't take very long to dry so that's a good thing. However, this mascara is not waterproof! I mean, it won't just start running but what I've noticed is that after a while it starts to smudge a little and under my eyes begin to darken with it.
Also, I've noticed that it can be a bit flaky. It has happened to me multiple times that I've looked and there has been little flakes or specs of black on my eye lid or under my eyes that weren't there when I applied.
Overall, it's pretty decent in the first couple of hours but later it needs to be reapplied and fixed. For someone who is busy and doesn't have time to be constantly fixing her makeup, it's not very good.
I would give it a 6.5/10!
Well, I hope this helped you guys,
Bye!

Top 3 Drugstore Lipsticks

So I have recently become obsessed with different colour of lipsticks to pair with different outfits and palettes. So I decided to make this post about my top 3 drugstore lipsticks right now.
The first I want to talk about is Rimmel's Moisture Renew Picadilly Pink. I absolutely fell in love with this colour when I saw it. It's a nice, soft pink and it kind of reminded me of spring when I saw it. It's such a sweet colour and will go with a natural palette for a girl next door look.

The second one is also by Rimmel and it's number 58 called Drop of Sherry. This colour is a little bold without being too in your face. It's more of a wine colour that would go perfectly with copper and brown tones for a perfect fall look.

The last one is Maybelline's Super Stay 14hr lipstick which is number 10 called Ultimate Blush. This lipstick is a nice roses hue. It isn't as sheer as the other two, this has more of a shine. It goes with both day and night makeup.

All three of these lipsticks can be found at any drugstore. I think for the first two I payed around $8 and around $12 for the Maybelline. I hope you guys enjoy them!
Bye :)

How to get healthy, glowing skin

Being a teenager, I often find myself faced with the issue of my skin. I think I speak for many girls as I say that there is nothing worse than waking up one morning and finding a massive pimple on your face. Recently though I've been seeing a massive improvement in my skin and I just wanted to share with you guys the things that have helped me.
(DISCLAIMER: I'm not a dermatologist, these are things that I have seen that have worked for me and that I hope might help you too).

1. Find yourself a good cleanser, toner and moisturiser.
These will become the essence of your skin care routine. Lately I have been adoring Formula 10.0.6's One Smooth Operator Pore Cleanser Face Scrub. To be honest, when I first bought it I didn't have much faith but when I used it I was amazed. It left my skin so smooth and soft and it has been keeping my skin just free from build up or blackheads.
I also use the toner from Formula 10.0.6 as well as their Picture Perfect Day moisturiser. I didn't actually use moisturiser before but I've realised how vital it really is to your skin. Like me, a lot of people think that if you use a moisturiser you'll just go really oily and break out. It's actually quite the opposite. If you don't give your skin the moisture it needs then it'll just go nuts overcompensating and you'll most likely break out. Although I do recommend these products, everyone's skin is different so have a look around, try different ones and see what works best for your skin type.

2. Remember to remove your makeup.
A lot of girls don't realise that they have to take all of their makeup off before going to bed. I understand that sometimes you're just lazy and you can't be bothered with it but it is really bad for your skin if you leave it on. Invest in a good makeup remover and make sure your face is nice and clean before bed.

3. DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE.
This one I hard. I know it's hard to resist but touching your face is only going to make it worse. You use your hands for everything and they are rarely 100% clean. The more you touch your face the more you spread the bacteria on to your face worsening the condition of your skin.

4. Try to be as oil-free as possible.
I have very oily skin so I struggle with this especially since I wear makeup almost every day. You really need to try and avoid the oil simply because that oil is what clogs your pores and is what causes you to get pimples. Besides, no one likes a shiny face right? Recently I've started using oil dabbing tissue and I think it's quite a good investment. It's a small pack so you can carry it in your purse and I think I paid around $6 for a pack of 50. These are good if you're wearing makeup and you can feel your skin getting oily. They won't disturb your makeup and they'll leave your face shine free. However, don't go crazy with this. Your face still needs a small amount of oil, just not excessively.

Well guys, those are my tips for getting better skin. I hope you guys enjoyed it. If you guys have any questions or if you have any suggestions don't hesitate to email me at @gabrielam550@gmail.com of leave a comment.
